The
Global Fund:
New focus of the international
health financing
|
RedLa+.-
The purpose of the Global Fund for the fight against AIDS,
tuberculosis and malaria, is to search, manage and reimburse
additional resources through a new public-private entity
that contributes to mitigate the impact caused by HIV/AIDS.
As
a link between governments, civil society, the private
sector and the affected communities, the Fund works in
close collaboration with other bilateral and multilateral
organizations, supporting their work through more substantially
elevated funds.
The
fight against AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria requires
an intense mobilization of the civil society. In addition,
the support and collaboration of international governments
and communities are crucial for the integration of specialized
knowledge from non-government organizations (NGO) in the
process of building the Fund in the most efficient manner.
Action
Field
The
fund supports programs that treat the three diseases in
a way that helps strengthen health systems and at the
same time stimulate and bring together country associations
that involve the government and the civil society. /Back
